With the Denon Audio app, users can create and save custom EQ curves, save instant playlists, and enjoy their favorite internet radio stations via the built-in TuneIn service.

In terms of EQ features, the app provides a rich set of options. It includes a graphical equalizer with 1000 possible discrete bands, as well as 10 built-in EQ presets. Users can also create and save their own EQ presets and easily compare the original and equalized audio using the bypass mode. Additionally, the app offers a real-time spectrum analyzer and a linear phase design that ensures no spatial distortion.

For users who want to enhance their iPod music library, the Denon Audio app is compatible with Denon Music Maniac Headphones and other audio playback devices such as docking stations, A/V receivers, car stereos via USB, Bluetooth, or Airplay. The app features a powerful queue-based playback system that allows users to build and order their own playlists on the fly. They can also save the playback queue as a new playlist and easily add single songs, entire albums, songs by artist or genre to the now playing queue. The app supports both portrait and landscape modes for browsing, playing, and equalizing. It also offers shuffle and repeat playback modes.

If users are interested in streaming internet radio, the TuneIn service provides access to over 70,000 radio stations and 2 million on-demand programs. Users can browse internet radio stations by location, genre, language, or podcast. The app also includes a powerful search feature for both the iPod music library and internet radio. Users can save their favorite internet radio stations or programs as convenient presets and even share them with other TuneIn compatible devices. Additionally, the app allows users to choose between high or low-quality streams offered by broadcasters.

Other notable features of the Denon Audio app include the ability to stream music over AirPlay to any Denon AirPlay compatible receiver or HiFi product, as well as the option to stream music over Bluetooth in a car, to Bluetooth speakers, or headphones. It’s important to note that the Denon Audio app requires iOS 5 or later and is compatible with various Apple devices. However, DRM protected iTunes music is not supported by the app, and support for iTunes Match will be added in a future update. Lastly, a Wi-Fi or data connection is required to stream internet radio.
